Meet HiBot: our new AI Accessibility Maturity Assistant
What would change if you could get clear, confident answers to your accessibility questions the moment they arise?
Most people working in accessibility aren’t short on commitment – they’re short on time, clarity, and access to trustworthy guidance.
Whether you’re trying to build buy-in for accessibility, develop strategy, shape a programme, or simply figure out where to start, waiting for the right expert or searching endlessly for a reliable resource online slows everything down.
That’s why we built HiBot – an AI Accessibility Maturity Assistant designed to put decades of our accessibility expertise at your fingertips, instantly.
HiBot is available now for free as a Public Beta for all our HiHub members.
HiBot has been trained on the thinking behind much of what we do at Hassell Inclusion. It brings together insights from our CEO Jonathan Hassell’s books, our team’s blogs and reports, and over 60 hours of webinars we’ve delivered over the past five years – all in one place, accessible through a simple question-and-answer interface.
If you’re working through an accessibility challenge, building a case for accessibility, or simply trying to deepen your understanding, HiBot is designed to help you get there faster.
What is HiBot for?
HiBot is there to support strategic rather than technical accessibility questions – the kind that come up when you’re trying to shape, deliver, manage or sustain accessibility within an organisation.
It can help with questions such as:
- How to work out how mature your organisation’s accessibility practices are currently
- How to structure an accessibility programme
- How to build organisational buy-in
- How accessibility fits into strategy, delivery and governance
- How teams like HR, Marketing and Communications can create more accessible materials
- How to think about accessibility beyond compliance, at a sustainable business level, and make it a win for your organisation
It’s also a space to ask the questions you might otherwise hesitate to ask.
Why try HiBot?
HiBot gives you:
- Practical, context-aware answers to real accessibility questions
- Guidance informed by decades of experience across our team
- Instant access to a large library of trusted resources, without needing to search
- Support in thinking about accessibility as an organisational capability, not a bolt-on
- A way to explore ideas and approaches you may not have considered yet
It’s not about replacing expertise – it’s about making it easier to access.
What HiBot is trained on?
HiBot draws from a wide range of Hassell Inclusion resources, including:
- Jonathan Hassell’s two best-selling books
- Our blogs, research reports, and posters
- Over 60 hours of webinar transcripts and Q&A sessions
- Our brochures, service outlines and downloadable resources
- The ISO 30071-1 standard and selected other accessibility standards
This means you’re not getting generic Google answers, you’re getting guidance rooted in real-world experience of building accessibility capability, from experts that have been leading in accessibility for decades.
Public Beta: help shape what comes next
This is a Public Beta, which means the version you’re using today is only the beginning. And, while we’ve tested it for months, it may have some bugs we haven’t found yet.
HiBot is still learning, and your feedback over the next few months will directly shape where it goes next – what it prioritises, what it learns, and how it can best support you.
All we ask is that you try it out, use it in real situations, and share your feedback on how it helps you with us.
Free access for HiHub members
HiBot is available to all HiHub members as part of the Public Beta from 22 January to 31 March 2026, with complimentary access until 31 March 2026.
If you’re already a HiHub member, you can start using HiBot now.
If you’re not yet a HiHub member, register for HiHub here, and welcome to a whole new world of Hassell Inclusion resources, including HiBot.
